You must be able to agree to these terms and are responsible for activity carried out through this site.
Terms of Service · Effective September 5, 2026
Use temporary email as a receiving tool, not a way to evade responsibility
Using forwardtemp.com means you agree to use the service lawfully, responsibly, and without harming others. These terms explain feature limits, prohibited activities, account responsibilities, and service availability.
Once a temporary address expires or is deleted, we do not promise to restore the address, message body, attachments, or access tokens.
Protect your destination email, login codes, session tokens, and authenticator keys.
We may act immediately against spam delivery, fraud, infringement, attacks, or attempts to bypass restrictions.
Acceptable use
Know what is allowed—and what crosses the line
The question is not whether you use a temporary address, but whether the conduct itself is authorized, honest, and safe for people and systems. The examples below are not exhaustive.
Reduce inbox risk
- Receive registration codes, download links, and trial notices from legitimate websites.
- Check email templates and delivery flows in products you are authorized to test.
- Use separate addresses for newsletter subscriptions, event sign-ups, and support contacts.
- Create forwarding aliases to manage your long-term correspondence and pause them when needed.
- Troubleshoot email delays, attachment display, and false spam classifications within your authorization.
Do not use an address to harm others or evade rules
- Fraud, impersonation, phishing, harassment, threats, or malware distribution.
- Bulk creation of fake accounts, abuse of benefits, or evasion of platform bans.
- Receiving or distributing personal data, trade secrets, or infringing content you have no right to possess.
- Attacking, scanning, reverse-engineering, or disrupting the service, or bypassing rate limits and security controls.
- Using our addresses for unsolicited bulk mail, spam, or laundering email reputation.
Responsibility matrix
What we provide—and what you must decide
We provide receiving and forwarding capabilities, but we are not a party to external websites, senders, or transactions you take part in. You decide which address type to use and which important information to save.
| Scenario | Provided by us | Your responsibility | Key limitation |
|---|---|---|---|
| Temporary inbox | Generate an address, display incoming mail, refresh, extend, and delete it | Save important information and protect access tokens | Cannot be recovered after expiry; maximum lifetime is 24 hours |
| Long-term forwarding | Create aliases, forward mail, pause or resume them, and provide basic archiving | Secure the destination mailbox and verify delivery | External senders may still reject the alias domain |
| Attachments and links | Display or provide authenticated downloads where technically possible | Assess the source, content, and permission before downloading | External links are not guaranteed to be safe or remain available |
| Third-party accounts | Receive emails sent by third parties | Follow that third party’s terms and registration rules | We do not guarantee third parties will accept verification codes |
| Service outages | Maintain and restore core capabilities within reason | Prepare a recoverable alternative mailbox for critical work | No promise of uninterrupted service, zero delay, or zero loss |
1. Scope and acceptance
These terms apply when you access or use FTemp’s temporary inboxes, forwarding aliases, delivery records, login, and security settings. If you disagree, stop using the service and delete any data still under your control.
The Privacy Policy explains how data is processed and complements these terms. Specific feature notices, quotas, and security guidance on the site also define the boundaries of use, but do not reduce rights expressly granted by these terms.
2. Eligibility and authority
You must meet the age required in your location to agree to online service terms and be able to understand that temporary email may not be recoverable. If you use the service for an organization, make sure you are authorized to accept these terms and manage the related email.
The site is not directed at children and is not suitable for handling important accounts without appropriate guardian judgment. If eligibility or authorization is reasonably unclear, we may restrict features and request necessary clarification.
3. Time limits for temporary email
New temporary addresses are valid for 3 hours by default and may be extended where the page allows, but no address can live longer than 24 hours. After expiry, deletion, or replacement, the old address may stop receiving mail immediately, and messages or attachments may not be recoverable.
Save information you genuinely need before the address expires. Do not use a temporary address for primary account recovery, financial, medical, government, or other purposes requiring long-term control. Countdown and expiry notices are provided for convenience and are not a promise of permanent storage.
4. Verification-code login and account security
The forwarding workspace confirms control by sending a verification code to the destination email; first-time verification may create an account automatically. Anyone with the destination email, code, or a valid session token may operate your aliases and records, so you must protect these credentials.
For sensitive actions, consider enabling authenticator codes and signing out on shared devices. If you suspect unauthorized access, secure the destination mailbox immediately, end active sessions, adjust alias status, and contact support.
5. Aliases, quotas, and delivery
Alias prefixes must follow the format published on the page and must not impersonate this site, support staff, or another person. We may set reasonable quotas for alias counts, creation frequency, message size, attachments, and delivery rates to support fair use.
Mail arriving after an alias is paused may be discarded immediately; deleting an alias ends that receiving relationship. Sender policies, DNS, network delays, spam filters, and destination-mailbox rules can all affect delivery, so we do not guarantee that every message will arrive.
6. Content responsibility and intellectual property
Email content is generally created by third-party senders or business relationships you participate in, and we do not claim ownership of it. You must ensure you have the right to receive, view, download, forward, or retain the relevant material, while respecting copyright, trademarks, confidentiality, and privacy rights.
The site’s interface, branding, code, and original guidance are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. You may use the service normally, but may not copy the site to create a confusingly similar service, remove rights notices, or sell our capabilities without authorization.
7. Evasion and automated abuse
Without written permission, you may not use scripts, bots, proxy pools, or other methods to create addresses in bulk, bypass verification codes, evade rate limits, scrape user data, or consume disproportionate resources. Normal browser refreshes and reasonable testing of your own product’s email reception are allowed.
We may identify abuse using request frequency, failure patterns, and infrastructure signals. To avoid exposing security mechanisms, we do not promise to disclose all detection details or provide advance notice for obvious automated abuse.
8. Suspension, termination, and appeals
If conduct harms users, third parties, or service security, violates law or these terms, or continues to consume abnormal resources, we may limit requests, pause aliases, remove unlawful content, or terminate access. In an urgent situation, we may act first and address explanations within a reasonable scope afterward.
If you believe an action was mistaken, contact support@forwardtemp.com with the relevant time, address, and symptoms. Do not send passwords or complete sensitive messages. We will review available records, but cannot guarantee recovery of data already cleared under the temporary rules.
9. Service changes and maintenance
We may improve the interface, adjust quotas, replace infrastructure, or discontinue low-use features to improve security and reliability. For changes that could significantly affect long-term forwarding relationships, we will make reasonable efforts to provide advance notice on the site.
Emergency maintenance, security incidents, upstream failures, or legal requirements may temporarily interrupt the service. A temporary inbox should not be your only channel for critical business; prepare an independent option for communications that cannot be interrupted.
10. Disclaimers
The service is provided as is and as available. To the extent permitted by law, we do not guarantee that specific sending websites will accept our domain, or that mail will have zero delay or misclassification, attachments will be compatible, third-party links will be safe, or an address will remain available long term.
Our guides provide general operational information and are not legal, security, financial, or compliance advice. Decide whether to use a temporary or forwarding address based on your own risks, local rules, and third-party terms.
11. Limitation of liability and indemnity
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses caused by address expiry, delayed or lost mail, third-party rejection, external links, unauthorized access, or your failure to save information. Any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded remains subject to applicable law.
If you breach these terms, infringe third-party rights, or abuse the service and cause us reasonable loss, you are responsible to the extent permitted by law. This does not require you to accept responsibility for our own unlawful or intentional misconduct.
12. Changes, severability, and contact
We may update these terms due to feature, legal, or security changes and will show the effective date at the top of the page. Continued use after changes means you accept the new terms; if you disagree, stop using the service and delete your aliases and records.
If any provision is found invalid, the remaining provisions remain effective and must be interpreted as closely as legally possible to the original intent. Questions about these terms, abuse reports, or appeals may be sent to support@forwardtemp.com.
