Addresses can be renewed, but last no longer than 24 hours; after expiry, receiving stops and cleanup begins.
Privacy Policy · Updated September 5, 2026
We process your email dataonly as needed to deliver your messages
This policy explains what information forwardtemp.com processes when providing temporary inboxes, forwarding aliases, and code-based login, why we process it, how long we retain it, and how you can make a request.
Ongoing forwarding starts only after you confirm your receiving address and create an alias.
Used to review delivery status, content, and attachments; you can delete individual or all records sooner.
We do not sell email content, destination addresses, or usage records, and we do not serve ads based on email content.

Different features, different retention limits
Temporary inboxes and account-based forwarding follow separate data paths. The table below shows standard retention arrangements; security incidents, legal obligations, or active complaints may require limited extensions.
| Information category | Purpose | Typical retention | What happens at expiry |
|---|---|---|---|
| Temporary address and access token | Create an email address and read and manage the current inbox | 3 hours by default; no more than 24 hours total after renewal | Deactivated and cleared from active systems |
| Temporary email content and attachments | Display received messages on the current page | No later than the associated address expiry | Cleared with the inbox and cannot be recovered |
| Receiving address and alias settings | Verify control and provide forwarding | While the account is active, or until deleted by the user | Forwarding ends and settings are deleted |
| Forwarding delivery records | Show delivery, failure, spam verdicts, and attachments | Up to 30 days | Deleted on a rolling basis or earlier by the user |
| Security and rate-limit logs | Prevent abuse, troubleshoot errors, and protect the service | For the shortest necessary security window | Identifying fields are aggregated or deleted |
1. Who we are
FTemp operates forwardtemp.com and is responsible for processing the service data described in this policy. For privacy, access, correction, or deletion requests, email support@forwardtemp.com.
To verify that a request comes from the account or mailbox controller, we may ask you to complete an email verification. Verification materials are used only to handle the request and are not repurposed for marketing.
2. Information processed by temporary inboxes
When you create a temporary email address, we generate a random address, access token, creation time, and expiry time. When a message arrives, we process the sender, recipient, subject, body, timestamp, technical headers, and attachments so the message can be displayed on the page.
You can use a temporary inbox without submitting your name, phone number, or regular email address. The token is the key to the current inbox; anyone who has it may access its messages, so do not share it publicly.
3. Information processed for forwarding and login
When you use long-term forwarding, we process your destination email address, login-code status, aliases you create, enable/disable settings, and delivery results. If authenticator protection is enabled, we also process encrypted configuration and verification status.
Login codes prove that you can receive messages at the destination address; they are not used to build a password profile. An alias receives mail only after you complete verification and actively create it.
4. Purposes and legal bases
We process information needed to provide the inbox, display, forwarding, archiving, and security settings you request. For rate limiting, fraud prevention, troubleshooting, and basic service analytics, we process the minimum information reasonably needed to keep the service reliable and users safe.
When the law requires us to retain, disclose, or restrict certain records, we process them to meet that obligation. If an optional use requires consent, we explain it separately before collection rather than hiding consent in a core feature.
5. Cookies and local storage
The page may use browser local storage to save a temporary email token, inbox expiry information, login sessions, and interface preferences, so you can continue your current task after refreshing. This data stays on your device; clearing browser site data removes the local copy.
We do not use email content to build cross-site advertising profiles. Our hosting platform may provide aggregated traffic statistics, but our pages do not embed third-party tracking scripts or require advertising cookies for basic inbox functionality.
6. Email transmission and service providers
To receive, scan, store, and forward email, data passes through infrastructure providers hosting our domain, application, database, and mail delivery systems. Providers process data only as needed to deliver those technical services and are bound by contracts and security measures.
Internet email may cross multiple networks and jurisdictions, and senders may retain their own transmission records. We cannot control data already created between you and an external sender’s website, but we limit the data held by this site.
7. Spam and security detection
The system may automatically check sender reputation, malicious links, unusual attachments, duplicate delivery, and abuse patterns to protect our infrastructure and users. Detection results may affect whether a message is marked as spam, rejected, or allowed to retry.
Automated detection is used for service security, not to infer sensitive personal traits. If you believe legitimate forwarding was misclassified, adjust its status in the dashboard or contact support with the necessary delivery details.
8. Sharing and disclosure limits
We do not sell, rent, or exchange destination addresses, email content, or alias relationships. Necessary disclosures may occur only when infrastructure providers deliver the service, we respond to valid legal process, investigate serious abuse, or protect users and system security.
Each disclosure must be limited to the fields and time period reasonably needed. Where legally permitted, we assess the request’s scope and validity and reject demands that are clearly excessive or invalid.
9. Security measures and residual risks
We reduce risk through token-based access control, account verification codes, optional two-step verification, rate limiting, least-privilege access, and limited retention. Email content is shown in a restricted reading container; external content may still contain third-party links, so use your own judgment before opening them.
No internet service can promise absolute security, and temporary addresses are not suitable for banking, healthcare, government services, or primary account recovery. If information matters long term, store it in an email account you control with reliable recovery options.
10. Your choices and rights
You can delete individual temporary messages, destroy a temporary inbox, pause or delete aliases, remove delivery records, and turn off two-step verification. Where applicable law grants access, correction, deletion, restriction, or objection rights, you can exercise them through our support email.
We will acknowledge requests within a reasonable period and explain the outcome or why we cannot comply. We may limit requests that affect others’ rights, security investigations, or legal obligations, but will provide an explanation whenever possible.
11. Children and sensitive uses
This site is intended for general internet users who understand the limits of temporary email. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect age information. If a guardian believes a child submitted identifiable information, contact us so we can investigate and delete it.
Do not use temporary inboxes to transmit medical records, government ID numbers, payment credentials, or other highly sensitive information. Temporary storage reduces long-term recovery options; it does not make content inherently anonymous or untraceable.
12. Policy changes and contact
We will update this policy when service capabilities, legal requirements, or our supply chain materially change, and will show the new effective date at the top of the page. We will make significant changes clear in a prominent on-site location where possible, without retroactively expanding existing data uses.
For questions, complaints, or data requests, email support@forwardtemp.com. Please do not include unnecessary verification codes, passwords, or complete sensitive email content.
