Extend
Extend the current receiving window without changing the address—useful when a sender is delayed or a download is still processing.
Note: total time cannot exceed 24 hoursTemporary email lifetime
This address is not a permanent account—it is a pickup pass with an expiry time. Use the countdown to plan for verification codes, downloads, and testing. For ongoing communication, switch to a forwarding alias.
Lifetime timeline
Extensions add time to the current address but never push its total lifetime beyond 24 hours.
The page creates a random email address and access token. The countdown starts at 3 hours by default.
Copy the address, refresh the inbox, read or delete messages, and add time if you still need to wait.
No matter how many times you extend it, the same address never becomes a permanent mailbox.
After expiry, access ends and the address and its contents enter the cleanup process. It cannot be used for account recovery.
What each action does
Before choosing an action, decide whether you need more time, a fresh identity, or an immediate end to the current task.

Note: total time cannot exceed 24 hoursCreate a new email address with a fresh 3-hour window. The old address is destroyed immediately, keeping separate tasks apart.
Note: save anything important from the old inbox firstEnd the current mailbox and access token immediately instead of waiting for the countdown to finish.
Note: deletion cannot be undoneWhen to extend
Verification codes usually do not require an extension. Large file generation, manual approval, or test batches may take more than 3 hours; extend the address before it expires. If the relationship will last for days, continuing to extend is not the right solution.
The other party is generating a file or waiting to deliver it—you only need a little more time.
Use a new, separate address for a new website, test, or download.
Use a pausable long-term alias for support, subscriptions, or project notifications.
Before you leave
A temporary email is valuable because it has a clear exit—not because it stores everything forever.
Frequently asked questions
Understand the time limits so you do not mistake a one-time address for a long-term account.
Usually not. If your browser still has the access token, reopening the page can restore the current inbox before it expires. Clearing site data removes the local key.
No. An expired address is not guaranteed to be assigned again, and old messages cannot be recovered. Create a new address for a new task.
No. “Get a new address” creates a new mailbox with the default 3-hour lifetime and destroys the old one. Extra time does not carry over to the new task.
If the relationship will continue, log in and create a forwarding alias. For another short-term task, create a brand-new temporary address.
